Android

Android is the mobile operating system created by Google. Along with Apple's iOS, it is one of the most popular smartphone systems in the world.

What is Android?

Android is an operating system for smartphones, tablets and other devices.

Android is developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and released under a free license. Smartphone manufacturers usually create customised versions of this OS, which they install on the devices they manufacture and market while still having to comply with Google's quality standards. While primarily intended for smartphones and tablets, this OS is currently used on a variety of devices, such as smartwatches, wearable technology, televisions and cars.

Which languages do you use to develop Android apps?

Java, Kotlin or cross-platform languages

Java is the official language for developing Android apps; subsequently, the possibility of developing in Kotlin was introduced. Finally, you can choose to use a cross-platform framework such as React Native.

How does the Android app development process work?

The process of developing and releasing a new app.

Whether we use a native language or opt for a cross-platform solution, we provide the client with a demonstration version once the code has been written and tested locally on simulators. This version is compiled through the Google Console test channels so that it can be installed on a small number of test devices for internal testing and then continue with beta testers. When we are ready to launch the app, we will proceed to draft the documentation and publish it on the Play Store, which is subject to approval by Google.
