FAQ

How much will it cost?

We do not have a "price list". After an initial interview with the client, we customarily carry out a preliminary analysis of their requirements and conceive a technological stack and the system's basic structure. This way we can provide a fairly accurate quote of the estimated costs. This is why we are generally unable to answer questions like "how much does an app cost?" without first discussing its main features. Suppose you have a specific budget or a range in mind. In that case, we recommend that you mention it together with your initial expectations in order to understand if our team is the right one to carry out your project and also to be able to guide our technological choices.

How long will it take?

Project development times can vary a lot depending on the requirements, constraints requested, budget, as well as on our existing workload during the period in which a new request arrives. We also typically provide a relatively accurate estimate of the realisation times during the quotation phase, which may vary slightly during the analysis phase, especially if there are requests for changes or problems not highlighted during the initial meetings. We always try to offer the best possible delivery times for your project.

What does the assistance service include?

The costs that we usually quote are composed of a one-off component for the design and implementation of the initial version of the services, and an annual assistance component, to which an optional hosting fee may be added. The assistance ELbuild provides covers any malfunction or deviation from the specifications that may be encountered during use of the product. Furthermore, the annual fee includes all maintenance and technical support interventions regarding each feature implemented in the final version.

Why don't you use a ready-made CMS or CRM?

Although in many cases, the use of a CMS or CRM, supplied as a commercial or open source product, can be a quick way to create a new system, we believe that the design and creation of custom products enable us to satisfy the requests of our customers in a more effective, flexible and high-performance way. Products such as Magento, WordPress, Odoo and the like can be highly respected choices for your next project, but they do not represent our core business. After many years of experience with these types of solutions, we have come to the conclusion that we prefer custom systems based chiefly on open source technologies for technical reasons and to have greater flexibility, security and maintainability.

Will the use of a custom system constrain my company in the future?

Applying mainly open source technologies that are, in any case, widely used, enables us to limit the so-called vendor lock-in. If necessary, we can take care of the handover of the code we develop to internal teams or other professionals in the sector. We don't want to restrain our clients through the use of little-known technologies or proprietary frameworks but rather convince them through the quality of our work. We often provide consultancy services to companies for the design and development of systems which are subsequently carried out by internal teams.
